Your privacy.
This page explains how MonkeyPost handles information in this version of the directory.
Browsing the directory
You can browse without creating an account. Your hosting provider processes ordinary request data, such as an IP address and browser information, to deliver the website.
Optional analytics
When enabled on our public website, Google Analytics helps us understand visits, popular venue guides and use of venue contact, directions and share buttons. We load Google Analytics only after you choose Allow analytics. Choosing No thanks lets you continue browsing without it. You can change your choice using Analytics preferences in the footer.
With your permission, Google receives usage events and browser/device information and uses analytics cookies to distinguish visits. It may derive approximate location from your network connection. Our analytics events omit search text, URL query strings, account details and community submissions. We do not enable advertising personalization or Google signals. See how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Your analytics choice is stored in this browser until you change it or clear site storage. Withdrawing permission stops further measurement and removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies. It does not erase information already received by Google. Contact us about data requests through our contact page.
Maps and external websites
Opening the map loads map tiles from OpenStreetMap servers, which receive your IP address and tile requests. Venue websites and Google Maps open only when you follow their links and handle information under their own privacy policies. MonkeyPost does not request your device location.
Contributions and support
Accounts and database submissions are not enabled in this directory release. Suggest a spot prepares an email draft in your browser. Nothing is saved to our database or sent automatically; you choose whether to send it through your email app. Drafts are lost when you reload or leave the page. If you contact us by email, your email address and message are used to respond to your enquiry. Do not send personal contact details for another person without their permission.
Storage and removal
When accounts are enabled, Firebase uses browser storage to maintain your sign-in session. Signing out ends that session. Contributions are retained for directory review and maintenance. You can request correction or deletion of information associated with you through our contact page.
Changes
We will update this page when the service changes. Check the date above for the latest version.
